न्यू षु वाचं प्र महे भरामहे गिर इन्द्राय सदने विवस्वतः । नू चिद्धि रत्नं ससतामिवाविदन्न दुःष्टुतिर्द्रविणोदेषु शस्यते ॥

Transliteration

nyù̄ ṣú vā́caṃ prá mahé bharāmahe gíra índrāya sádane vivásvataḥ | nū́ ciddhí rátnaṃ sasatā́m ivā́vidan ná duḥ-stutír dráviṇo-deṣú śasyate ||

Translation

บัดนี้เรานำถ้อยคำใหม่มาถวายแด่ผู้ยิ่งใหญ่—บทเพลงแด่อินทระ (Indra) ณ ที่ประทับของผู้ส่องสว่าง. แม้บัดนี้ ขุมทรัพย์ก็ยังถูกค้นพบดุจผู้เพียรพยายามแสวงหา; ในหมู่ผู้ประทานความอุดม ไม่มีการสรรเสริญคำยกย่องอันชั่วร้าย.
