अत्रा ते रूपमुत्तममपश्यं जिगीषमाणमिष आ पदे गोः । यदा ते मर्तो अनु भोगमानळादिद्ग्रसिष्ठ ओषधीरजीगः ॥
átrā te rūpám uttamám apaśyaṃ jígīṣamāṇam iṣá ā padé góḥ | yadā́ te márto ánu bhógam ānáḷ ād íd grásiṣṭha óṣadhīr ajīgaḥ ||
ณ ที่นี้ ข้าพเจ้าเห็นรูปอันสูงสุดของท่าน—ผู้มุ่งชัยชนะ—ก้าวไปถึงรอยเท้าแห่ง ‘โค’ (Go) อันเป็นรัศมี ที่ซึ่งมีโภชนาการสถิตอยู่ เมื่อมนุษย์ผู้มรรตยะติดตามความเพลิดเพลินโดยไร้ความจริงแห่งหนทาง เมื่อนั้นเอง โอผู้กลืนกินยิ่งนัก เขาถูกผลักให้กลืนกินโอษธี (oṣadhī) คือพืชสมุนไพร—เลี้ยงชีพด้วยสิ่งงอกงามอันต่ำกว่า
