स जायमानः परमे व्योमन्याविरग्निरभवन्मातरिश्वने । अस्य क्रत्वा समिधानस्य मज्मना प्र द्यावा शोचिः पृथिवी अरोचयत् ॥
sa jāyamānaḥ parame vyomany āvir agnir abhavan mātariśvane | asya kratvā samidhānasya majmanā pra dyāvā śociḥ pṛthivī arocayat ||
เมื่อพระองค์บังเกิดในความกว้างไพศาลอันสูงสุดแห่งเวหา อัคนีก็ปรากฏแก่ มาตริศวาน (Mātariśvan ผู้หอบหิ้วเปลวไฟ). ด้วยเจตจำนง (kratu) และด้วยความยิ่งใหญ่แห่งการจุดติดของพระองค์ เปลวรัศมีของพระองค์ทำให้ฟ้าและดินส่องประกาย—ปลุกเร้าทุ่งแห่งความรู้สึกตัว.
