Indrajit and Lakshmana: War-Boasts, Rebuke, and the Clash
उक्तश्चदुर्गमःपारःकार्याणांराक्षसत्वया ।।।।कार्याणांकर्मणांपारंयोगच्छति स बुद्धिमान् ।
uktaś ca durgamaḥ pāraḥ kāryāṇāṃ rākṣasa tvayā | kāryāṇāṃ karmaṇāṃ pāraṃ yo gacchati sa buddhimān || 6.88.13 ||
โอ้รากษส เจ้าเอ่ยถึงการไปให้ถึง “ฝั่งไกล” แห่งความมุ่งหมายซึ่งยากจะข้าม แต่ผู้มีปัญญาแท้คือผู้ไปถึงที่สุดแห่งกิจการด้วยการกระทำ มิใช่ด้วยถ้อยคำโอ้อวด
"Rakshasa! You have proclaimed that you will send me to Yama's abode and about the success in your undertakings even though it is not possible. He who is intelligent will succeed in his tasks (not in words alone).
