ततोऽस्मिन् बहुलीभूतेकौलीनेसर्वतोगते ।भक्षितस्ससुहृद्रामोराक्षसैरितिविश्रुते ।।6.64.30।।प्रविश्याश्वास्यचापित्वंसीतांरहसिसान्त्वय ।धनधान्यैश्चकामैश्चरत्नैश्चानांप्रलोभय ।।6.64.31।।
praviśyāśvāsya cāpi tvaṃ sītāṃ rahasi sāntvaya |
dhanadhānyaiś ca kāmaiś ca ratnaiś caināṃ pralobhaya ||6.64.31||
จงเข้าไป แล้วปลอบประโลมพระนางสีดาเป็นการลับ ให้คลายหวาดหวั่นและคืนความมั่นใจ; จากนั้นจงล่อใจด้วยทรัพย์และธัญญาหาร ด้วยความรื่นรมย์ และด้วยรัตนะ เพื่อให้พระนางเอนเอียงมาสู่ฝ่ายเจ้า
Thereafter, when the scandal that Rama and Lakshmana with all his friends have been devoured is widely spread everywhere, approaching Sita privately, restoring confidence and consoling her, tempt her with offering wealth, grain and gems and conciliate.
It shows an adharma-driven strategy: instead of honoring truth and consent, Sītā is to be manipulated through secrecy, emotional pressure, and material temptation—contrasting with the Ramayana’s dharma ideal of righteous conduct and restraint.
The instruction presumes deception and coercive persuasion rather than truthful, transparent approach; satya is undermined by acting ‘rahasi’ (in secret) and by using inducements to distort another’s free, truthful resolve.
