शूराणांयुद्यमानानांसमरेष्न्विवर्तिनाम् ।तद्राक्षसगणानांचसुयुद्धंसमवर्तत ।।6.54.7।।
śūrāṇāṃ yudyamānānāṃ samareṣv anivartinām |
tad rākṣasa-gaṇānāṃ ca suyuddhaṃ samavartata ||6.54.7||
ท่ามกลางวีรชนผู้เข้าประจัญบานในสมรภูมิ มิยอมถอยแม้ชั่วขณะ การรบระหว่างหมู่รากษสกับฝ่ายตรงข้ามก็แปรเป็นศึกอันดุเดือดอย่างแท้จริง
Deluded with fear, the Rakshasas seeing Vajradamshtra killed by monkeys, panic stricken, heads bent in shame, faces woebegone fled to Lanka.
It points to kṣātra-dharma (warrior duty): steadfastness and refusal to abandon one’s post, while implying that such firmness must ultimately serve a righteous end.
The battle escalates into an intense, sustained confrontation with neither side yielding.
