Ravana’s Council Address and Kumbhakarna’s Counsel
तस्मात्त्वयासमारब्धंकर्मह्यप्रतिमंपरैः ।अहंसमीकरिष्यामिहत्वाशत्रूंस्तवानघ ।।6.12.35।।
tasmāt tvayā samārabdhaṃ karma hy apratimaṃ paraiḥ | ahaṃ samīkariṣyāmi hatvā śatrūṃs tavānagha || 6.12.35 ||
ดังนั้น ในเมื่อท่านได้กระทำสิ่งที่ไม่มีผู้ใดเทียบได้ ข้าจะจัดการให้สำเร็จโดยการสังหารศัตรูของท่าน โอ ผู้ปราศจากบาป
"O Rakshasa! I will ruin the enemy. I will fight with both of them (Rama and Lakshmana) even if they are Indra and sun, fire god and wind god or Kubera and Varuna."
A key Ramayana lesson is that loyalty divorced from dharma becomes destructive; prowess used to support unrighteous aims is ethically flawed.
