रावणक्रोधः—रामस्य परुषवाक्यम्
Ravana’s Fury and Rama’s Harsh Admonition
स दीप्तनयनोरोषाच्चापमायाम्यवीर्यवान् ।अभ्यर्दयत्सुसङ्कृद्धोराघवंपरमाहवे ।।।।बाणधारसहस्रैस्तैस्सतोयदइवाम्बरात् ।राघवंरावणोबाणैस्तटकमिवपूरयन् ।।।।
sa dīptanayano roṣāc cāpam āyamya vīryavān |
abhyardayat susaṅkruddho rāghavaṃ paramāhave ||
bāṇadhārāsahasrais taiḥ satoyada ivāmbarāt |
rāghavaṃ rāvaṇo bāṇais taṭākam iva pūrayan ||
ครั้นแล้ว ราวณะผู้ทรงพลัง ดวงตาลุกโพลงด้วยโทสะ ก็ดึงคันศรขึ้น และในศึกอันยิ่งใหญ่นั้นได้โหมกระหน่ำใส่ราฆวะอย่างดุเดือด เขาสาดศรนับพันสายดุจสายฝนจากฟากฟ้า จนทั่วอากาศรอบองค์พระรามแน่นขนัดไปด้วยศร ประหนึ่งฝนหลั่งเติมสระให้เต็ม
Valiant hero, Ravana, with his eyes flaming in anger, raising his bow, rained arrows at Sri Rama. He continued to rain thousands of arrows just as rain filled the tank, his arrows covered Raghava.
It frames the battlefield as the arena where kṣātra-dharma is tested: power and fury are shown, but the deeper ethic is that force must ultimately be governed by righteousness, not rage.
Rāvaṇa launches an intense arrow-barrage against Rāma, escalating the duel with overwhelming projectile force.
Indirectly, Rāma’s endurance is set up by contrast—he must remain steady under a storm of attacks.
