विभीषणोपदेशः
Vibhishana’s Counsel to Ravana and the Catalogue of Omens
यदाप्रभृतिवैदेहीसम्प्रास्तेमांपुरींतव ।तदाप्रभृतिदृश्यन्तेनिमित्तान्यशुभानिनः ।।।।
yadāprabhṛti vaidehī samprāptemāṃ purīṃ tava | tadāprabhṛti dṛśyante nimittāny aśubhāni naḥ ||
นับแต่ไวเทหีถูกพามายังนครของท่าน ตั้งแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมา เราทั้งหลายก็ได้เห็นลางร้ายและนิมิตอัปมงคลปรากฏอยู่เนืองๆ
"Since Vaidehi has come to this city, inauspicious happenings are seen by us."
Adharma has consequences: wrongful possession and coercion (Sītā’s abduction) disturbs moral order, reflected as social and cosmic disquiet (inauspicious signs).
Vibhīṣaṇa links Laṅkā’s ominous disturbances to the moment Sītā was brought there, warning Rāvaṇa of impending ruin.
Truthfulness and moral clarity: Vibhīṣaṇa names the root cause rather than treating symptoms.
