अग्रतस्तु ययौ तस्य राघवस्य महात्मनः।सुग्रीवः संहतग्रीवो लक्ष्मणश्च महाबलः।।
agratas tu yayau tasya rāghavasya mahātmanaḥ | sugrīvaḥ saṃhata-grīvo lakṣmaṇaś ca mahā-balaḥ ||
เบื้องหน้าพระราฆวะผู้มีมหาตมะนั้น สุครีวผู้คอหนาแน่นมั่นคงได้ก้าวไป และพระลักษมณ์ผู้ทรงมหาพลก็ไปด้วย
The strong-necked Sugriva and mighty Lakshmana walked in front of the high-souled Rama.
Dharma is expressed as loyal service and protective companionship: allies and kin place themselves forward to safeguard the righteous leader.
As the party advances, Sugrīva and Lakṣmaṇa take the lead position before Rāma, indicating alertness and tactical care.
