samudyamya mahac cāpaṃ rāmaḥ kāñcana-bhūṣitam | śarāṃś cāditya-saṅkāśān gṛhītvā raṇa-sādhakān ||

ครั้นเตรียมจะออกไป พระรามทรงยกคันศรใหญ่ประดับทองขึ้น แล้วทรงหยิบศรอันส่องประกายดุจดวงอาทิตย์—เป็นศัสตราอันเกรียงไกรสำหรับศึกสงคราม
