उत्पातदर्शनं खरसैन्यसमागमश्च

Omens of calamity and the approach of Khara’s army

सधूमाश्च शरास्सर्वे मम युद्धाभिनन्दिनः।रुक्मपृष्ठानि चापानि विचेष्टन्ते च लक्ष्मण।।।।

sadhūmāś ca śarāḥ sarve mama yuddhābhinandinaḥ | rukmapṛṣṭhāni cāpāni viceṣṭante ca lakṣmaṇa ||

โอ้ลักษมณะ ลูกศรทั้งปวงของข้าพเจ้ามีควันลอยออกมา และคันธนูที่มีแผ่นหลังทองคำก็ดูสั่นไหว—ประหนึ่งต้อนรับข้าสู่ศึก
