निधाय दर्भान्विधिवद्दक्षिणाग्रान्प्रयत्नतः । सर्ववर्णविधानेन पिंडांश्च पितृयज्ञवत्

ครั้นวางหญ้าทรรภะ (darbha) ตามพิธีอย่างระมัดระวัง ให้ปลายหญ้าชี้ไปทางทิศใต้แล้ว พึงจัดทำปิณฑะ (ก้อนข้าว) ตามระเบียบพิธีครบถ้วน ดุจเดียวกับพิธีบูชาบรรพชน (ปิตฤยัชญะ)
