Unspecified (narratorial verse within the chapter praising the phalaśruti of a Gaṇeśa-stotra)

Concept: Śravaṇa and pāṭha of a stotra generate puṇya and worldly efficacy; sound-as-devotion is presented as a direct spiritual technology.

Application: Keep a short daily recitation practice; even listening attentively is treated as meritorious—use it to sanctify the day’s beginnings and remove obstacles before worship/work.

Primary Rasa: vira

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A devotee sits before a small shrine, reciting a Gaṇapati-stotra as syllables appear like luminous lotus-petals in the air. Behind him, the three worlds are symbolized—earthly city, mid-sky with gandharvas, and a celestial court—subtly bending toward the mantra’s radiance, suggesting ‘vashya’ through dharma rather than violence.","primary_figures":["Gaṇapati (Heramba/Gaṇeśa)","devotee-reciter","celestial witnesses (gandharvas/devas)"],"setting":"Temple alcove opening into a cosmic panorama; a low altar with lamps, flowers, and a manuscript/palm-leaf text.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["vermilion red","saffron gold","smoky lamp-black","lotus pink","emerald green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Gaṇapati enthroned with gold-leaf halo and gem-studded crown, the devotee seated below with a palm-leaf manuscript; ornate arch (prabhāmaṇḍala), rich reds and greens, thick gold embossing on jewelry and throne, tiny inscriptions of mantra-like motifs floating as gilded syllables; three-tier cosmic backdrop subtly indicated with gold bands.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate shrine scene with delicate brushwork; Gaṇapati in warm vermilion, the devotee in simple white, lyrical landscape transitioning into layered skies; refined faces, soft shading, thin lines; the ‘three worlds’ suggested by terraced hills, drifting clouds, and a faint celestial pavilion.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold black outlines, natural pigment reds/yellows/greens; Gaṇapati with large expressive eyes and stylized ornaments; lamp-lit shrine with symmetrical floral borders; cosmic bands behind showing bhū-loka, bhuvar-loka, svar-loka in iconic registers.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central Gaṇapati framed by lotus motifs and intricate floral borders; deep blue background with gold highlights; peacocks and temple lamps along the border; mantra-syllables rendered as decorative patterns; devotional ambience akin to a festival hanging."}

FAQs

It declares that daily recitation—or even hearing—of this Gaṇeśa hymn grants exalted status (like a great king) and the power to influence or win over the three worlds, emphasizing the hymn’s extraordinary merit.

Purāṇic phalaśruti commonly extends merit to śravaṇa (hearing) as well as pāṭha (recitation), highlighting accessibility: devotion and receptivity to the hymn are themselves spiritually efficacious.

It promotes steady daily practice (nitya-pāṭha) and reverent listening, presenting devotion to Gaṇeśa as a path to inner authority, auspiciousness, and success—framed as the fruit of sincere engagement with sacred praise.
