FAQs

It praises constructing a temple (prāsāda), specifically a Gaṇapati shrine, or doing such an act to please the Goddess (Devī).

The key qualifier is devotion/pleasing intention (prītimān). The merit is tied not only to the act of building but to the devotional motive behind it.

Selfless, faith-driven public religious service—such as establishing places of worship—produces auspicious results, including honor among divine beings and a heavenly destiny.
