सदसत्कर्मकर्ता वा कः पूज्यो भुवि बाडवः । ब्रह्मोवाच । सत्श्रोत्रियकुले जातो ह्यक्रियो नैव पूजितः

sadasatkarmakartā vā kaḥ pūjyo bhuvi bāḍavaḥ | brahmovāca | satśrotriyakule jāto hyakriyo naiva pūjitaḥ

“โอ้บาฑวะ ผู้ใดในโลกควรแก่การบูชา—ผู้ทำกรรมดีหรือกรรมชั่ว?” พระพรหมตรัสว่า: “แม้เกิดในตระกูลศฺโรตริยะอันประเสริฐ หากไม่ประกอบหน้าที่และพิธีกรรมอันควร (อักริยะ) ก็ไม่ควรได้รับการบูชา”
