एवं वदंतं वरदं क्रतौ तस्मिन्पितामहम् । तथेति चोक्त्वा रुद्रः स वरमस्मादयाचत

evaṃ vadaṃtaṃ varadaṃ kratau tasminpitāmaham | tatheti coktvā rudraḥ sa varamasmādayācata

ดังนั้น ณ พิธีบูชายัญนั้น เมื่อปิตามหะ (พระพรหม) ผู้ประทานพร กำลังตรัสอยู่ รุทราจึงทูลว่า “ตถาสตु” แล้วจึงขอพรหนึ่งจากพระองค์
