Unspecified (context-dependent within Bhūmi-khaṇḍa 77; likely a deity granting a boon)

Concept: When worship is performed ‘in this very way’ (evam), aligned with prescribed method, the deity’s grace becomes responsive to the devotee’s heartfelt desire.

Application: Follow a consistent, respectful method in worship; keep desires dharmic and express them with humility rather than entitlement.

FAQs

A deity declares that the daughter of Rati should worship him in a prescribed manner, and in return he will grant whatever she desires.

It frames worship (bhajana) as the direct means to receiving divine grace, presenting devotion as efficacious and personally acknowledged by the deity.

Sincere devotion paired with right practice is portrayed as deserving of compassionate response; it also implies responsibility in choosing desires worthy of being granted.
