Puruṣottama-māhātmya
The Greatness of Puruṣottama Kṣetra
यत्कृतं तत्र वृत्तान्ते देवदेवो जनार्दनः । तत्सर्वं कथयामास स तस्मै भगवान्पुरा ॥ ९१ ॥
yatkṛtaṃ tatra vṛttānte devadevo janārdanaḥ | tatsarvaṃ kathayāmāsa sa tasmai bhagavānpurā || 91 ||
ในเหตุการณ์นั้น สิ่งใดที่เทวเทพ “ชนารทนะ” ได้กระทำไว้ พระภควานในกาลก่อนก็ได้เล่าให้เขาฟังทั้งหมด
Narada (narrating the puranic account)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"bhakti","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_journey":"Devotional awe centers on Janārdana’s divine acts, moving into gratitude and receptivity as the Lord himself narrates the full account."}
It emphasizes the purāṇic method of transmission: the Lord’s deeds become spiritually effective when they are preserved and conveyed as sacred narrative (kathā), especially in a tīrtha-mahātmya context.
By highlighting Bhagavān’s narration of His own līlā, the verse supports bhakti through śravaṇa (devotional hearing): devotion deepens by listening to Viṣṇu-kathā and remembering the Lord’s acts.
Indirectly, it points to the importance of clear transmission and comprehension—aligned with Vyākaraṇa and Nirukta in preserving accurate meaning—though no specific ritual, meter, or technical Vedāṅga procedure is stated in this verse.
