Pūjādi-kathana — Gaṅgā Vratas, Tenfold Worship, Stotra, and Mokṣa on the Riverbank

उपवासाद्वारं भैक्ष्यं भैक्ष्याद्वरमयाचितम् । अयाचिताद्वारं नक्तं तस्मान्नक्तं समाचरेत् ॥ ११ ॥

upavāsādvāraṃ bhaikṣyaṃ bhaikṣyādvaramayācitam | ayācitādvāraṃ naktaṃ tasmānnaktaṃ samācaret || 11 ||

ยิ่งกว่าการอดอาหารคือการดำรงชีพด้วยภิกษา; ยิ่งกว่าภิกษาคือการรับสิ่งที่ได้มาโดยมิได้ร้องขอ (อายาจิตะ). และยิ่งกว่าอายาจิตะคือวัตรฉันเฉพาะยามคืน (นักตะ); เพราะฉะนั้นพึงประพฤตินักตวัตร
