Mohinī-upākhyāna
यत्पुण्यशीलस्य नृपस्य भूपशिरोमणेराचरितं प्रतीपम् । तत्पापवेगेन बभूव विद्रुता भस्मावशेषा तव शापदग्धा ॥ ४४ ॥
yatpuṇyaśīlasya nṛpasya bhūpaśiromaṇerācaritaṃ pratīpam | tatpāpavegena babhūva vidrutā bhasmāvaśeṣā tava śāpadagdhā || 44 ||
การกระทำอันเป็นปฏิปักษ์ต่อพระราชาผู้ทรงศีลบุญ ผู้เป็นมงกุฎแห่งกษัตริย์ทั้งหลาย นั้นเองด้วยแรงแห่งบาปของตนได้นำความพินาศมาให้ ถูกเผาด้วยคำสาปของท่าน จึงเหลือเพียงเถ้าถ่าน.

It teaches that adharma directed toward a virtuous person rebounds through its own pāpa-vega (momentum of sin), bringing inevitable downfall; even a curse becomes the instrument through which karma ripens.
By implication, it upholds reverence for the righteous and protection of dharma—core supports for bhakti—since hostility toward the dharmic destroys one’s inner purity needed for devotion.
