FAQs

It highlights Harivāsara as a distinctly sacred time dedicated to Hari, where ordinary impulses—especially eating—become a test of restraint and devotion.

By placing the moment on Harivāsara, the verse implies that honoring Viṣṇu’s day through discipline (often fasting or regulated intake) is an expression of bhakti, even amid distraction or temptation (symbolized by “Mohinī”).

Kalpa/ritual discipline is implied: the observance of a specific sacred day (Harivāsara/Ekādaśī) and the corresponding regulation of meals as part of vrata procedure.
