Sūta (traditional colophon/closing formula)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It functions as the formal colophon, marking the completion of Adhyaya 14 and highlighting the chapter’s core theme—vimukti (liberation)—as a key fruit of sacred narrative and tirtha-mahātmya.
Indirectly: by naming the chapter “Godhā-vimukti,” it signals that liberation is attainable through the sacred framework upheld in the Purāṇa—typically centered on devotion, remembrance, and sanctifying association with holy places and divine narratives.
This verse reflects textual organization and transmission practice (a Purāṇic colophon), rather than a specific Vedāṅga; it is useful for archival citation—book/section/chapter identification—supporting accurate recitation, referencing, and study.
