Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents śravaṇa (hearing) and pāṭha (recitation) of a sacred carita as direct purificatory disciplines, declaring that sustained engagement with the narrative destroys accumulated pāpa and generates spiritual merit.
By emphasizing continual listening and recitation, it highlights core bhakti practices—attentive hearing of sacred narration and faithful repetition—through which the mind is steadied, devotion deepens, and inner impurities are removed.
The verse points to disciplined pāṭha (correct recitation/reading), aligning with Vedāṅga concerns such as śikṣā (phonetics) and vyākaraṇa (proper word-forms), since consistent, accurate recitation is treated as spiritually efficacious.
