Dīpa-vidhi-vyākhyānam

Procedure for Lamp-Offering to Hanumān

तिलतैलं श्रियः प्राप्त्यै पथिकागमनं प्रति । अतसीतैलमुद्दिष्टं वश्यकर्मणि निश्चितम् ॥ ४ ॥

tilatailaṃ śriyaḥ prāptyai pathikāgamanaṃ prati | atasītailamuddiṣṭaṃ vaśyakarmaṇi niścitam || 4 ||

น้ำมันงา กำหนดไว้เพื่อให้ได้ศรีคือความรุ่งเรือง และเพื่อให้ผู้เดินทางมาถึง; ส่วนน้ำมันเมล็ดแฟลกซ์/ลินสีด (อทสี) ระบุแน่นอนว่าเหมาะแก่พิธีวศยะ คือการดึงดูดให้ยอมตาม ॥๔॥
