Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It presents mantra as a purificatory force: when applied through a proper ritual act (pramārjana), the afflicting graha loses its hold and departs, showing the supremacy of sacred sound and disciplined practice over harmful influences.
While the verse is technical, it supports bhakti indirectly by restoring the afflicted person’s clarity and steadiness; removing graha-obstruction helps one return to worship, japa, and dharmic living without disturbance.
Jyotiṣa-oriented remedial practice (graha-śānti) using mantra-prayoga and a cleansing rite (pramārjana), indicating applied ritual methodology for mitigating graha-affliction.
