Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within Vedanga/Mantra-vidhi discussion)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches a practical rakṣā-prayoga: protection is strengthened either by a specific mantra-ending (“vahnipriyā”) or by appending a focused akṣara-recitation (“kṣa” twice) to the Rāma-mantra.
By centering the practice on the Rāma-mantra, it frames protection as arising from devotion expressed through disciplined japa and correct mantra-application.
It highlights mantra-prayoga (technical application of mantras): the importance of mantra-anta (ending), prescribed additions, and precise akṣara-recitation as part of ritual/phonetic correctness.
