छिन्नस्य यदि वृक्षस्य न मूलं प्रतिरोहति । जीवन्यस्य प्रवर्तंते मृतः क्व पुनरेष्यति ॥ १४ ॥

chinnasya yadi vṛkṣasya na mūlaṃ pratirohati | jīvanyasya pravartaṃte mṛtaḥ kva punareṣyati || 14 ||

หากต้นไม้ที่ถูกตัดแล้ว รากไม่งอกกลับมา กิจทั้งหลายย่อมดำเนินได้เพียงเมื่อยังมีชีวิต; ครั้นตายแล้ว เขาจะกลับมาได้จากที่ใด?
