It links inner spiritual discipline with the subtle body: mastery and understanding of prāṇa (especially Samāna) and agni are presented as foundations for steadiness, purification, and progress toward mokṣa.
While technical, it supports bhakti indirectly by emphasizing inner purity and regulated life-force; a balanced agni and prāṇa make the mind steadier, enabling sustained remembrance and worship of the Lord without lethargy or agitation.
It reflects applied knowledge of prāṇa/physiology used in yogic practice (a practical discipline allied to Vedic tradition), showing how internal regulation of vāyus and doṣas supports dharma and meditation.
