FAQs

It teaches that a vow is completed not only by personal austerity but by devotional worship (ārati/arcana) and charitable giving (food and water), turning the merit outward for the welfare of others.

Bhakti is expressed here as steady daily service—ārati and offerings—followed by sustained worship up to the vow’s completion, showing devotion as disciplined practice rather than a single ritual act.

It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) in prescribing a sequence—ārati, offering a ghaṭa with food and water, repeating for three days, and formal concluding worship—i.e., the applied ritual science of vrata observance.
