FAQs

It states the phala (result) of the prescribed vow: complete purification from sin and attainment of Hari-sāmya—closeness or likeness to Viṣṇu as the supreme devotional goal.

By presenting a Viṣṇu-centered vrata as a direct means to inner purification and divine proximity, it frames disciplined observance (vrata) as an applied form of bhakti leading toward liberation-oriented grace.

Ritual application (kalpa-style vrata-vidhi) is implied: structured observance, timing, and rule-based practice typical of Purāṇic dharma instruction, though no specific Vedāṅga (like Jyotiṣa or Vyākaraṇa) is explicitly named in this verse.
