Narada (teaching within a vrata-vidhi passage; traditional dialogue frame with Sanatkumara lineage in Book 1 contexts)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that the vow’s power lies not only in the act (offering/giving) but also in inner discipline—eating simply and restraining speech—leading to a divine posthumous attainment (Devi-loka).
By emphasizing restraint and mindful conduct as offerings in themselves, it frames devotion as disciplined worship—where controlled speech and humble living become expressions of reverence toward the Goddess.
Ritual procedure (kalpa-style vrata-vidhi) is implied: perform the prescribed act first (visṛjya), then take the meal with regulated conduct (vāg-yataḥ), showing the importance of correct sequence and disciplined observance.
