พระพรหมตรัสว่า—ดูก่อนบุตรเอ๋ย จงฟังเถิด เราจักประกาศปุราณะโบราณชื่อ “พรหมาณฑะ” อันประกอบด้วยคาถาศลกะหนึ่งหมื่นสองพัน และพร้อมด้วยเรื่องราวแห่งอาทิกัลปะ
