ในปุราณะที่เรียกว่า “สกันทะ” นั้น ได้จัดไว้เป็นเจ็ดขันฑะ และสกันทะซึ่งมีแปดหมื่นหนึ่งพันศลก เป็นคัมภีร์อันตัดขาดกระแสแห่งบาปและทุกข์อุปสรรคทั้งปวง ॥๓॥
