Adhyaya 92 — Devi’s Assurance of Protection and the Fruits of Reciting the Devi Mahatmyam
te 'pi devyā nirātaṅkā svādhikārān yathā purā / yajñabhāgabhujaḥ sarve cakrur vinihatārayaḥ
Dharma in the Purāṇic sense includes the maintenance of cosmic and social order; Devī’s victory is not merely martial but restorative—returning beings to their proper functions (svādhikāra) and re-establishing yajña as the stabilizing link between gods and world.
Primarily touches Manvantara (order in a Manvantara) and indirectly Sthiti (maintenance): after the destructive conflict, stability is reinstalled and sacrificial reciprocity resumes.
The ‘return of yajña-shares’ symbolizes the reintegration of fragmented powers (deva-śakti) into a harmonious cosmic economy; when inner adversaries are ‘slain,’ the faculties again receive their rightful ‘offerings’ (energy, attention) in a regulated way.
