Adhyaya 82 — The Rise of Mahishasura and the Manifestation of the Goddess from the Gods’ Tejas
ततः प्रववृते युद्धं तया देव्याः सुरद्विषाम् ।

The verse frames conflict as a necessary intervention when adharma threatens cosmic balance. It is not glorification of violence, but depiction of protective force (rakṣaṇa-śakti).
Carita/narrative theology: an exemplary episode illustrating the restoration of order, functioning alongside (not as) the five formal lakṣaṇas.
Weapons and missiles can be read as differentiated powers (śaktis/vṛttis) of the awakened Divine Mind; the ‘blazing horizons’ indicates illumination of all experiential fields under Śakti’s action.
