tatrāpi tasya vikṛtir nādharmotthā vyavardhata | etāḥ sarvā daśās tasya yāḥ svapne sampradarśitāḥ ||

The text distinguishes ‘suffering due to one’s adharma’ from ‘suffering due to other causal structures’ (such as a ṛṣi’s curse or a destined sequence). This nuance prevents simplistic moralism: not all pain is immediate proof of present wrongdoing.
Carita (didactic narrative) using svapna (dream) as a literary device to disclose forthcoming events; not a pancalakṣaṇa core (sarga etc.).
Dream-revelation suggests that the subtle body (liṅga-śarīra) can preview karmic pathways. The ‘not from adharma’ clause hints at deeper causal layers—prārabdha or ārabdha karma—unfolding beyond surface moral accounting.
