FAQs

The ethical note is the dharmic duty of protection and reassurance: fear is dispelled by a protector’s presence (‘mā bhaiḥ’) and by prompt, purposeful action aimed at fulfilling rightful aims (‘yathepsitam’).

This verse functions as narrative connective tissue rather than a direct statement of the pañcalakṣaṇa topics. It is best classified as ancillary ākhyāna (episode/frame narrative) supporting the Purana’s broader teachings rather than sarga/pratisarga/manvantara/vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita content in itself.

‘Entering this very place’ and ‘accomplishing the desired’ can be read symbolically as the movement from anxiety to resolve: when the inner ‘king’ (sovereign will/discernment) arrives, repeated assurance stabilizes the mind, enabling swift entry into the heart of the problem and completion of the intended aim.
