प्रयतानां मनुष्याणां ग्रहर्क्षोत्थान्यशेषतः ।

एष कूर्मो मया ख्यातो भारते भगवान् विभुः ॥

สำหรับผู้เพียรพยายาม ข้าพเจ้าได้อธิบายโดยครบถ้วนถึงผลที่เกิดจากดาวเคราะห์และนักษัตรทั้งหลายแล้ว ดังนี้ พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้ทรงเดชในรูปกูรมะ (เต่า) ข้าพเจ้าได้พรรณนาไว้ในภารตะแล้ว
