Adhyaya 3 — The Dharmapakshis’ Past-Life Curse and Indra’s Test of Truthfulness
जाताश्च रणमध्ये वै भवता परिपालिताः ।
वयमित्थं द्विजश्रेष्ठ खगत्वं समुपागताः ।
नास्त्यसाविह संसारे यो न दिष्टेन बाध्यते ॥
jātāś ca raṇamadhye vai bhavatā paripālitāḥ |
vayam itthaṃ dvijaśreṣṭha khagatvaṃ samupāgatāḥ |
nāsty asāv iha saṃsāre yo na diṣṭena bādhyate ||
เมื่อกำเนิดขึ้นท่ามกลางศึก พวกเราก็ได้รับการคุ้มครองจากท่านโดยแท้. เพราะฉะนั้น ข้าแต่ผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่ทวิชะ เราจึงบรรลุสภาพเป็นนก. ในโลกแห่งสังสารวัฏนี้ ไม่มีผู้ใดไม่ถูกไทวะ (บัญชาแห่งชะตา) ครอบงำ.
