काननेṣu च रम्येषु तथैवोपवनेṣu च ।

पुण्यक्षयं वाञ्छमाना सापि कामोपभोगतः ॥

kānaneṣu ca ramyeṣu tathaivopavaneṣu ca | puṇyakṣayaṃ vāñchamānā sāpi kāmopabogataḥ ||

และนางเองก็ในป่าอันรื่นรมย์และสวนสำราญ ด้วยความหมกมุ่นในกามสุข จึงปรารถนาให้เกิด ‘ความสิ้นไปแห่งบุญ’ (ปุณยกฺษยะ)۔
