tathā annasādhanaiḥ tasya ucchiṣṭāpohanena ca / parituṣṭo munir bhūtaṃ tam uvāca tathaiva saḥ
Instruction and blessing are portrayed as consequences of sustained humility and attentiveness; the sage’s speech is ‘earned’ by disciplined service.
Ākhyāna within vaṃśānucarita-type royal narrative; it models dharma rather than enumerating cosmology.
Clearing leftovers symbolizes removal of residual ego and desire (ucchiṣṭa) so that the ‘word of the sage’ can be received in a purified inner space.
