Adhyaya 18 — Alarka's Story
तद्वधे कुरु बुद्धिं त्वं परित्राणाय नोऽनघ ।
त्वत्प्रसादादभीप्सामः पुनः प्राप्तं त्रिविष्टपम् ॥
tadvadhe kuru buddhiṃ tvaṃ paritrāṇāya no 'nagha |
tvatprasādād abhīpsāmaḥ punaḥ prāptaṃ triviṣṭapam ||
“ฉะนั้น โอ้ผู้ปราศจากบาป! เพื่อคุ้มครองพวกเรา ขอท่านจงตั้งจิตไปสู่การทำลายพวกเขา ด้วยพระกรุณาของท่าน พวกเราปรารถนาจะได้ไตรวิษฏปะ (สวรรค์) คืนมาอีกครั้ง”

The devas explicitly ground their request in protection and restoration of rightful order. ‘Buddhi’ here is the dharmic resolve: action should be guided by clear intention, not vengeance.
