ब्राह्मणान् भोजयेच्छक्त्या पायसै: सर्पिषा सितै: । एवं श्रुते च वैराटे सम्यक् फलमवाप्नुयात्,विराटपर्वकी कथा सुनकर अपने वैभवके अनुसार भाँति-भाँतिके वस्त्र, सुवर्ण, धान्य और गौ--ये वस्तुएँ देवताओंकी प्रसन्नताके लिये श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणोंको दान करनी चाहिये। वाचकके भलीभाँति संतुष्ट होनेपर सब देवता संतुष्ट होते हैं। तत्पश्चात् यथाशक्ति घी और मिश्री मिलायी हुई खीरका ब्राह्णोंको भोजन करावे। इस विधिसे विराटपर्व सुननेपर श्रोताको उत्तम फलकी प्राप्ति होती है
brāhmaṇān bhojayec chaktyā pāyasaiḥ sarpiṣā sitaiḥ | evaṃ śrute ca vairāṭe samyak phalam avāpnuyāt ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— พึงเลี้ยงพราหมณ์ตามกำลังด้วยปายสะ (ข้าวหวาน/ข้าวน้ำนม) ที่ปรุงด้วยเนยใสและน้ำตาล ครั้นสดับวิราฏปรวะโดยวิธีนี้แล้ว ผู้ฟังย่อมได้ผลบุญโดยครบถ้วน
