कृप-अर्जुन रथयुद्धम्

Kṛpa–Arjuna Chariot Engagement

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत विराटपर्वके अन्तर्गत गोहरणपर्वमें उत्तरयोग्रहके समय द्रोणवाक्यसम्बन्धी इक्यावनवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,प्रतियुध्येम समरे सर्वशस्त्रभूतां वरम्‌ । तस्माद्‌ यदत्र कल्याणं लोके सद्भिरनुछितम्‌ । तत्‌ संविधीयतां शीघ्र मा वो हार्थो& भ्यगात्‌ परम्‌ इस समय रणभूमिमें समस्त शस्त्रधारियोंमें श्रेष्ठ अर्जुनके साथ हमें युद्ध करना है। इसलिये जगतमें साधुपुरुषोंद्वारा आचरित जो कल्याणकारी उपाय है, उसे शीघ्र करना चाहिये, जिससे तुम्हारा यह गोधन शत्रुके हाथमें न जाय

pratiyudhyema samare sarvaśastrabhūtāṃ varam | tasmād yad atra kalyāṇaṃ loke sadbhir anuṣṭhitam | tat saṃvidhīyatāṃ śīghraṃ mā vo hārtho 'bhyagāt param ||

โทรณะกล่าวว่า “บัดนี้เราจำต้องรบในสนามกับอรชุน ผู้เลิศที่สุดในหมู่นักรบผู้ถืออาวุธทั้งปวง ฉะนั้น จงจัดการโดยเร็วตามวิถีอันเป็นมงคลและสมควรที่สัตบุรุษในโลกปฏิบัติกัน เพื่อมิให้ทรัพย์ของท่าน—โคเหล่านี้—ตกไปอยู่ในมือศัตรูโดยสิ้นเชิง”
