वृद्धानुशासने तात तिष्ठता सत्यशीलिना । अवश्यं त्विह धीरेण सतां मध्ये विवक्षता

Transliteration

vṛddhānuśāsane tāta tiṣṭhatā satyaśīlinā | avaśyaṃ tv iha dhīreṇa satāṃ madhye vivakṣatā ||

Translation

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ดูลูกเอ๋ย เมื่อเจ้ายืนอยู่ใต้คำสั่งสอนและวินัยของผู้เฒ่าผู้แก่ และความประพฤติของเจ้าตั้งมั่นในสัจจะแล้ว ในที่นี้—ท่ามกลางหมู่สัตบุรุษ—เจ้าพึงกล่าวถ้อยคำด้วยความหนักแน่นและสำรวมตนเป็นแน่”
