Educational Q&A

The verse frames suffering as something that can be examined and articulated rather than merely endured: the speaker signals a truthful accounting of deeper, exceptional pains, inviting attentive listening—an ethical posture of honesty, patience, and reflective understanding.

Vaiśampāyana, continuing his narration, tells the listener addressed as “Bhārata” and “Kaunteya” that further, more distinctive sufferings remain to be described, and he prepares to recount them in sequence.
