रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः

तत्रापि स महाभाग: सुखभागभिजायते । न चेत् सम्बुध्यते तत्र गच्छत्यधमतां तत:,वहाँ भी वह महाभाग मानव सुखके साधनोंसे सम्पन्न होकर ही उत्पन्न होता है। परंतु यदि मानवयोनिमें वह अपने कर्तव्यको न समझे, तो उससे भी नीची योनिमें चला जाता है
tatrāpi sa mahābhāgaḥ sukhabhāgabhijāyate | na cet sambudhyate tatra gacchaty adhamatāṃ tataḥ ||
แม้ในภพมนุษย์นั้น ผู้มีบุญย่อมบังเกิดพร้อมส่วนแบ่งและปัจจัยแห่งความสุข. แต่หากในสภาพมนุษย์เขามิได้ตื่นรู้และเข้าใจหน้าที่แห่งธรรมของตนแล้ว จากที่นั่นเองเขาย่อมตกลงสู่ภาวะที่ต่ำทรามยิ่งกว่าเดิม
