रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः

अयं त्वन्यो गुण: श्रेष्ठक्ष्युतानां स्वर्गतो मुने । शुभानुशययोगेन मनुष्येषूपजायते,मुने! परंतु वहाँसे भ्रष्ट हुए जीवोंका भी यह एक अन्य श्रेष्ठ गुण देखा जाता है कि वे अपने शुभ कर्मों-के संस्कारसे युक्त होनेके कारण मनुष्ययोनिमें ही जन्म पाते हैं

ayaṁ tv anyo guṇaḥ śreṣṭha-cyutānāṁ svargato mune | śubhānuśaya-yogena manuṣyeṣūpajāyate, mune ||

ดูก่อนมุนี! ถึงกระนั้น ผู้ที่ตกจากสวรรค์ก็ยังมีคุณลักษณะอันประเสริฐอีกประการหนึ่ง คือด้วยความผูกพันกับอนุสัยแห่งกรรมอันเป็นกุศล จึงได้บังเกิดโดยเฉพาะในกำเนิดมนุษย์
