Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes that roles such as leadership in war and marital union can be presented as part of a divinely foreseen order: valor and responsibility are not merely personal ambitions but duties aligned with a larger cosmic arrangement.

Mārkaṇḍeya addresses Indra (Śatakratu) and foretells that a particular hero will stand with Indra as the powerful commander of the army and will also become the husband of the goddess being referred to.
